What people are saying:
Linda Rogers has managed several events for Minerva Island, the virtual research and study space for the Department of Women's Studies at The Ohio State University. The events were online musical celebrations that were open to the public, but Linda did much more than arrange for live musicians and set up the program.
Linda is well known in Second Life for her expertise in musical events; she has excellent publicity skills, and she handles crowd management and security with confidence and tact. She is amazingly well organized, and very easy to work with.
Linda's work in various Toronto arts organizations and her years of experience in Second Life give her a breadth of knowledge that few people working in virtual worlds can match. I would not attempt a concert without her help.
I heartily recommend Linda, and I would be happy to answer any further questions on her performance.
Linda got us great results, was very personable, great value and a creative worker
I was a Board member of the Buffalo Philharmonic and Chair of the Education Committee at the time that Linda was the Artistic Coordinator.
My work was as a volunteer and she as a Staff member, but our work overlapped. She was also interested in the position of Education Director, but left to pursue other interests in Canada.
I have been in touch with her ever since (at least ten years), and observed her moves with interest, serving as a reference in the past.
Linda is an astute professional, widely experienced in music and theatre and knowledgeable about artistic and technological activities in both our countries. She is an excellent communicator, and was a pleasure to work with.
I would be glad to respond to any specific questions that arise about her qualifications.
I worked with Linda when I was a Board Member of Opera Ontario for which she served as Interim General Director. Linda is smart, creative, and tenacious. She knows how to manage success through others, and she knows how to manage difficulties and conflicts (believe me, there are plenty of those on opera boards!). My sense is that if you can manage an arts organization with its unique combination of creative temperaments, unforgiving deadlines, and financial challenges, you can manage just about anything.
